With over 25 years of expertise, KDS Windsor provides the most efficient equipment and solutions for your lumber drying needs. We offer a wide range of services and state of the art lumber dry kiln equipment for both softwood and hardwood drying operations. In addition, we have a full complement of wood burning systems for direct fired softwood kilns, including green sawdust gasifiers and dry shavings burner systems.
What type of kilns do you manufacture?
We manufacture continuous dry kilns (CDKs), batch kilns, firewood kilns, and hardwood kilns. Each kiln is custom designed based upon the type of wood, size requirement, and any additional features selected.
Do you only have one Continuous Dry Kiln (CDK) product line?
No, we have two CDK product lines. The Performance Series and the Steel Series. The KDS Windsor Performance Series CDK structure is constructed with all aluminum and 304 stainless steel materials, including stainless steel footings and fasteners in the MD and ER sections. The KDS Windsor Steel Series CDK structure is constructed with all painted steel in the MD section and all aluminum and stainless steel materials, including stainless steel footings and fasteners in the ER sections. Both series are built with the finest quality fit for its rugged environment.
Do you offer aftermarket services?
Yes, we offer the following aftermarket services: field service visits, retrofitting, blowers, fans, re-skins, vapor extraction modules, material handling systems, fuel hoppers, screw conveyors, and more. Visit our estimation page to request a free estimate on any aftermarket services you may need.
Can you get me this replacement part as soon as possible?
We do our best to ship parts and have them on site by your expected delivery date. Delivery times vary based upon quantities in stock and when the order is placed.
Can you sell spare parts for competitors’ kilns?
Yes, we offer spare parts for competitors’ kilns. Part numbers may differ from our competitors’, but our team can assist with your needs.
Do you offer an in-kiln moisture measurement system?

Can you speed up the drying process and improve the quality of our lumber drying?
Yes, we offer creative ideas to expand additional throughput.
Do you make any other products outside of kilns?
We are primarily a kiln manufacturer, but also offer material handling equipment to feed direct fired heat plants.
What kind of heat plants do you offer?
We offer the following heat plants: green sawdust gasifiers, dry shavings burners, and steam.
Do you work on competitors kilns?
Yes, we perform upgrades and provide recommendations to increase throughput, retrofit blowers, and conversions.
Do you offer aftermarket services to support the kiln efforts?
Yes, we offer conversions from batch kilns to CDKs, upgrades, air flow assessments, kiln controls, re-skins and replacement roofs, and spare/replacement parts.
Do you own all of your control systems?
Yes, we own the DrySpec family of kiln controls.
Do you provide turnkey solutions?
